KRVA does not require certified scorekeepers on its matches; however, it is important to have "qualified" scorekeepers, those who know what to do. In the adult programs, many participants know how to keep score and there are few issues. In the junior programs, there are always new participants, many keeping score as part of work teams. Because of this, we need to have some instruction on how to keep score. Each junior club must have a club scorekeeper representative, who will be the club's scorekeeping contact and who will instruct others in the club. If teams from the club travel to other regions and to national events, where certified scorekeepers may be needed, the club scorekeeper representative will recommend the better scorekeepers from those teams to the scorekeeper chairperson for approval as certified junior scorekeepers. In any case, all instruction is done within the club. If you have questions, please, contact the scorekeeper chairperson. For more information, click on the appropriate link below.
