ATHLETE SAFETY
The safety of its participants is of paramount importance to USA Volleyball. Keystone Region and USA Volleyball have ZERO TOLERANCE for abuse and misconduct. This includes not only on-court safety, but also off-court safety in any part of USA Volleyball’s programs.
Keystone Region is committed to create a safe and fun environment for youth. This includes, but is not limited to, providing training, educational materials and resources for our region, clubs, coaches, and parents.
BACKGROUND SCREENING
All adult staff members are required to have a full background screening that includes the following:
- Social Security Number validation
- Name and address history records
- Two independent multi-jurisdictional criminal database searches covering 50 states plus DC, Guam and Puerto Rico
- Federal District Courts search for each name used and district where the individual currently lives or has lived during the past seven years, going back the length of time records are available and reportable
- County Criminal Records search for each name used and district where the individual currently lives or has lived during the past seven years, going back the length of time records are available and reportable
- National Sex Offender Registry database search of all states plus DC, Guam and Puerto Rico
- Multiple National Watch Lists
- SafeSport Disciplinary Records
- Comprehensive International Records search for US citizens who have lived outside of the United States for six consecutive months in any one country, during the past seven months
- Motor Vehicle Records of at least a 3-year history in the state for licensure (if driving is required for position)
MEMBERSHIP COSTS BREAKDOWN
$35 of the full $60 membership stays in the Keystone Region to pay for coaching education, officials education, grants, scholarships, equipment, programs, services (AES, rostering, eligibility), tournaments, clinics, region infrastructure, staff and supplies for Region events, and much more.
$25 of the full $60 membership goes to USA Volleyball National Office to pay for sport accident and liability insurance, training materials created for the purpose of national coaching and officiating, nation database and membership services, and National Office staff and office needs.
