For all Referees and Scorers at all levels:

Officials and Scorers must also pass the required test and coursework for their level of officiating each season and be rated according to the Region requirements.

Referees are now required to complete the scoring coursework and test included in their Officials coursework for their refereeing level.

New and Re-certifying Officials

  1. Be a Current KRVA member
  2. Be 16 or older as of September 1 of the current season
  3. Complete Officials training and test via USAV academy (available early-mid fall) Pass with an 84%
  4. Current SafeSport Certification
  5. Submit concussion awareness training certificate
  6. PA 153 clearances on file with region office
  7. Create / updated official profile on Assigning program
  8. Get rated each year at the annual “Keystone Rating Rally” in December
  9. Must work at least 2 in-region tournaments each season
  1. Be a Current KRVA member
  2. Be 18 or older as of September 1 of the current season
  3. Complete Officials training and test via USAV academy (available early-mid fall) Pass with an 84%
  4. Current SafeSport Certification
  5. Submit concussion awareness training certificate
  6. PA 153 clearances on file with region office
  7. Create / updated official profile on Assigning program
  8. Get rated every 3 years at the annual “Keystone Rating Rally” in December (2018-19 Group: Last
  9. Name beginning with A through H)
  10. Must work at least 1 Region-Run (BANE, Bid, Championships) tournament each season
  1. Be a Current KRVA member
  2. Be 16 or older as of September 1 of the current season
  3. Complete Officials training and test via USAV academy (available early-mid fall) Pass with an 84%
