Clubs may use various methods to select players. These methods can include:

• Holding tryouts
• Accepting all players who wish to join
• Limiting membership to a specific school district or metro area
• Extending direct invitations to interested players

While clubs have the flexibility to choose their selection method, all must comply with the Region’s tryout policy.

Invitation and Offer Guidelines:

• Extending an invitation is equivalent to making an offer at a tryout, subject to the same rules and deadlines.
• Accepting a player’s registration is also considered making an offer, with the same deadlines in place.
• If a club does not hold tryouts but invites players to join, they may not extend this invitation until the official offer period ends. Once extended, players have 48 hours to decide.

Offer Validity:

• A verbal offer or a hand-delivered offer letter/contract at tryouts is not valid.
• The only binding offers are those made in writing via email, with offers@krva.org CC’d, and within the designated offer period.
• Any offers made outside the correct dates and times are considered invalid.
• Clubs may inform you of their intention to extend an offer, but the offer must be confirmed in writing to be binding.
• Regardless of timing, a verbal offer is NOT BINDING. Only written offers with proper documentation are valid.

Loyalty Offers:

Once a Loyalty Offer is accepted, your child is committed to that club and may not attend tryouts for any other club. Sanctions will be imposed if an athlete attempts to attend tryouts at another club after accepting an offer.
