CANDIDATE CREDENTIALS – 2nd SPECIAL ELECTIONS

Posted on behalf of the KRVA Nominating Committee: The following candidates have been evaluated and vetted by the Nominating Committee. They are qualified to be elected to the board of directors. Their credentials will be posted until September 10, 2018. Voting for all Eligible Adult voters will take place between September 11-24, 2018. More information on the timeline for this election is posted below.

Jeff Stubblefield

Since 2016, Jeff has served as the Treasurer on the KRVA Board of Directors. He would like to be re-elected in the position of Treasurer to continue use his extensive knowledge of KRVA systems, budgeting process, and operations to ensure the best use of region assets to support volleyball in Pennsylvania.

Gary was recently appointed to the KRVA Board of Directors to finish the term left for the Coach Development Chair. If elected to an Advisory Board position, his goal is to grow the region by making youth volleyball accessible for all, market the region to a broader audience, and help make the KRVA region and USA Volleyball better in any way he can.

KRVA NEW BYLAWS

On May 4, 2018, the KRVA Board of Directors approved the new Bylaws. The revisions were posted on the website for over the required 30 days.

Note I: Page 10 and 11 has a highlighted section that was an oversight on the draft previously posted. There was an approved motion at the planning meeting on August 5, 2017 to change the required meeting attendance from 50% to 75% for board members. The minutes can be found in the dropdown menu on the right of this screen. The highlighted sentence is the updated and correct version.

Note II: The references to “Section VIII. Violations of Codes/Policies and Due Process” were edited from “By-laws” to the correct reference of “KRVA General Operating Code”. The change was made to reflect the location of Section VIII. All changes to the referred section location have been updated and highlighted.

 

DUE PROCESS REVISIONS

KRVA is updating the Due Process policies for the region. Below is a download of the current Due Process with mark ups showing the changes that will be made, as well as a clean copy of the New Due Process with the changes made to be voted on by the Board of Directors.
