ALL 2023-24 MEMBERSHIPS EXPIRED ON AUGUST 31, 2024

Purchase Membership

After a membership is purchased, you may receive an email outlining any additional steps necessary to become eligible to participate (if required). This can include a background screening, SafeSport training, etc. Your account will also show these requirements. If a family has multiple members, they can all have their membership information in the same master account, using one set of login credentials called a “family account.”

Upon checkout you will see two “transactions” that equal the total membership price. One transaction represents the fees going to the Keystone Region and the other represents the fees going to USAV. The total amount remains the same – you will see the itemized breakdown. You may also see two separate charges (totaling the amount of your membership) on your credit card statement.

As a parent, please take an extra minute to read the waivers to which you are agreeing upon purchasing the membership.

Once registered with the Keystone Region, members are covered by USA Volleyball’s Sport Accident Policy. Please note that the insurance provided by the Keystone Region will not cover the club and/or its administrators during practice, tournaments, or tryouts unless there is eligible membership for its participants. Please direct any questions to your Club Director. In case of an injury, either at practice or at a tournament, an incident report must be completed either by the Tournament Director or by the Club Director. This incident report can only be submitted to the Keystone Region office by either of those two Directors.

How to Purchase a Membership

Membership is done at the individual level and works best on a Windows-based computer using the Chrome or Firefox browser. When purchasing membership for a player that is a minor, take the following steps:

  1. Click on the Membership Link – (The system works best on a computer using a Chrome or Firefox browser.)
  2. Create or sign in to a household account in the name of a parent/legal guardian.
  3. Purchase the membership for your child. You will then be asked “Who is this membership for?” and selecting your child’s name, or if you do not see them click “Add Child“. Enter/Confirm your child’s information, click Next.
  4. Enter/Confirm your information (the parent/guardian), click Next.
  5. Electronically sign any waivers by checking the box “On behalf of your child’s name” and click Submit. NOTE: A Parent/Guardian MUST be the one to sign the waiver(s). This is why it is critical to have a parent/guardian be the primary account holder. Review the information for accuracy on the page, and click “Continue to Payment”.

Club Assignments

This step affiliates and TIES you to a club program for the year. Once selected for a team and an offer is accepted, you will need to “upgrade” your child’s membership to Full Athlete membership before any further participation is allowed.

Club assignment should ONLY be accepted from a club in the USAV Membership system once you have accepted an official offer from a club. Once an athlete has participated in a Regional or National qualifying/bid event, athlete transfers and/or releases are bound by the transfer/release rules of the Girls’ Junior National Qualifier/Spring Championships/Championships or the Boys’ Junior National Bid/Championships manuals. Please refer to the respective manual of the events above for further clarification.

VERY IMPORTANT #1: You need to use the same email/SportsEngine account that you used to purchase your tryout membership to purchase your full athlete membership. If you use a different email/SportsEngine account, you will not be given credit for the tryout membership and the fees will not be refunded due to user errors/mistakes.

If your child is not selected for a team, please visit the front page of the KRVA website where we will post clubs looking for players to fill their rosters.

Eligibility Requirements

After you purchase your child’s Full Membership you will receive an e-mail outlining the additional steps necessary to become eligible to participate. This can include SafeSport certification and/or waivers. WE RECOMMEND COMPLETING ALL ELIGIBITY REQUIREMENTS FROM YOUR SPORTSENGINE ACCOUNT. The links in the email do not always work. An individual who has met all requirements will appear as “Eligible”.

If a family has multiple athletes, they can all have their membership information in the same master account, using one set of login credentials called a “family account.”

17 Year Olds Turning 18 During the USAV Season: Any player who is 18 or turns 18 before the end of the USAV Season (8/31) must complete the SafeSport course. We know the course is geared towards coaches and officials, but the Center for Safe Sport just looks at age and not role. We have asked for a course that is geared towards players but no luck yet. The reason that 17s turning 18 must take it early is we do not want a player to be 17 and eligible on Saturday of a multi-day tournament and then have a birthday on Sunday and become Ineligible in the middle of the event. SE does not track birthdate, just Membership Type. These players cannot be Imported into AES or Sport Wrench until they complete SafeSport.

  1. Login at My.SportsEngine.com
  2. On the left-hand side of the page, click the Membership tab.
  3. Click on the current season membership
  4. Next to SafeSport Certification, click Complete Training.
  5. Complete the needed SafeSport Certification.

Refund Policy

Keystone Region Volleyball Association (KRVA) fees are managed separately from USA Volleyball membership fees. No refunds will be issued for any membership type, regardless of whether an entire KRVA and/or USA Volleyball membership season and/or any portion thereof is cancelled or interrupted for any reason.

Other KRVA programs and events may utilize different cancellation policies. Please read individual programs or event information on the KRVA website, in our tournament management system, or in the Manuals and websites.

KRVA reserves the right to make exceptions to their refund policy at its sole discretion.

If a credit card is used to pay for membership and the charge is disputed through the credit card company, a $25 fee will be incurred. Return check charge is $35 and will require a certified check as a replacement payment.

Yes. Each club establishes their own tryout fee, and you must pay this to each club you tryout for or each clinic you participate in. The clubs use this tryout/tune-up clinic fee to cover gym rentals, t-shirts, coaches, etc. Each club is run as an independent business under the rules and regulations of KRVA. Please contact the individual club for questions relating to their fees!

When a parent purchases a membership for themselves instead of their athlete, the membership needs to be cancelled and refunded by both the Region and USAV. This is because if they change the name on the Sports Engine profile and the Region changes the verified data, the account will be “owned” by the athlete. The athlete owning the account does not allow us to ensure that any communications through the system are sent to the parent as well as the athlete, it will also prevent the athlete from purchasing a membership in the system the next season if they are still under 18 years old.

Please email results@krva.org for help

If the Sports Engine account is setup for the athlete instead of the parent, it prevents the account from being able to purchase a membership (due to the USAV requirement of needing to be 18 to purchase the membership/agree to waivers)

You will need to change the profile information to the parent and then go back to the region membership page and select the membership type you are wanting to purchase.  After you login or are still logged in, there will be an option below the parent’s name to “add child”.  Click on “add child” and follow the screens to complete membership.
