This sixth grader from Pleasant Hills Middle School and playing for P3R has her sights set on becoming a professional baker some day.

What got you interested in playing club volleyball? Going to all my older sister’s games. I loved watching her and her team play and bond, and I would always make the calls on the plays just like the referee. Watching my sister made me want to play with people and be a part of a team myself. So, I mentioned volleyball to my parents, and they thought it would be a great idea!
What is your favorite volleyball skill? My favorite skill in volleyball is hitting. I find hitting one of the most interesting things in volleyball. Taking the approach, jumping as high as I can, and hitting the ball down. And my teammates cheering me on when we’d get the point.
Who is your most influential role model and why? My sister Madison is my influential role model because when I was younger, I would always want to play the sports she played. I started going to her basketball games, next thing I know I love basketball. I went to her softball games, then I fell in love with softball! I went to her volleyball games, and the next thing you know we have the same number and same position. I always looked up to Madison, especially in sports.
What would most people be surprised to learn about you? One thing that people might be surprised to learn about me is that when I grow up, I want to be a professional baker and own my own bakery. It’s been my dream since I was younger.
What is your favorite vacation? My favorite vacation that we have been on is Disney World. The first time we went was when my parents surprised my two sisters and I with a scavenger hunt on Christmas day. When we got to the end it was a puzzle, me and my sisters hurried to finish it and when we did, the puzzle read, “You’re going to Disney!” We were so happy. We made a lot of fun memories there and I will never forget them.
What are three activities you enjoy outside of volleyball? I enjoy basketball, softball, and another activity I enjoy is playing the clarinet. I started clarinet in 4th grade and still play to this day.
What are you binge watching or binge listening to right now? Fuller House, me and my mom love it! Me and my mom will also watch ANY baking or cooking show. We are binging the newest season of Kid’s Baking Championship right now!
