How many people do you know that can read Korean? Not only that, Jeffrey Brode also speaks French, and a little Hebrew. When not practicing his linguistic skills, Jeffrey Brode plays for TNT Volleyball during club season and Upper Dublin High School as an Outside Hitter.

What have you learned about yourself through volleyball? The best thing I can do during high-pressure situations is to stay calm and collected and to support and motivate my teammates.

Who is your most influential role model and why? My JV coach Bruno Vargas. He always goes out of his way to say hi to me at my club practices and makes school practices fun yet disciplined.

What would most people be surprised to learn about you? I can speak French and a little Hebrew, and I can read Korean!

What are three activities you enjoy outside of volleyball? Hanging out with friends, listening to music, and helping to lead my school’s French club.

Favorite pre-game meal: Pretzels and hummus.

The furthest you’ve traveled to play volleyball? I will travel to Pittsburgh from Philadelphia this season.

What is the biggest lesson you learned from volleyball? Teamwork makes the dream work.

Night owl or morning person? Night owl 100%.

Least favorite school subject: History. At least what I’m learning now.

Most interesting thing you did this summer? I got my driver’s permit!
