The Keystone Officials Division of Referee Development and Training conducted an evaluation event at the Boys Atlantic North East National (BANE) Qualifier at Spooky Nook. Members of the USAV National Training and Coaching Team came to Spooky Nook to evaluate six Regional referees who aspire to become Junior National Referees.
These six referees have been working hard over the past several years, working on honing their craft and incorporating feedback into their officiating styles. The process is demanding and is aimed at helping them to become the best officials they can. The Keystone Region is known nationally for preparing top-rated national-level referees. Many of these referees are able to go on to higher-level assignments and can often be seen officiating Division I collegiate matches.
We are proud to announce that James Lenderman and Eddie Nugraha have been selected to apply to USAV in order to pursue the Junior National certification. If selected by USAV, these two referees will travel to the Girls Junior National Championships in Chicago this June. There they will be evaluated, in hopes of becoming a Junior National Referee. Please join us in wishing them the best of luck in their quest!
