Relative newcomer to the Keystone Region volleyball scene is Peak Elite, a club based out of Fort Washington, PA located 20 miles north of Philadelphia. Co-Administrators Kim and Elizabeth started the club two years ago with the intention of crafting a volleyball sisterhood for teenage girls to support each other while on and off the court. Team sizes are kept small to allow for each athlete an opportunity to play and improve.

Peak Elite is a relatively new club. What prompted you to form the club? We both had girls playing together at a local club with friends from school. The girls on the team were smart, talented, and hardworking; they had great synergy together! After a season of challenges with the club’s administration, we started to search for a different club willing to accept our core five players and place them together on a team. Understandably, this dynamic presented challenges for established clubs, so we quickly realized that if we wanted to keep the girls together, we would have to form our own club. While this is no small endeavor, it was certainly the right decision for our girls. We have had two very successful seasons and are expanding to add an additional team for the 2024-2025 season!

What makes Peak Elite unique? At Peak Elite, we are small but mighty! We nurture talent through personal attention and ample court time. Our secret sauce? Small team sizes and continuity. We’re not just building players; we’re crafting a sisterhood where each girl can shine and support one another. This aligns with our vision of putting talented players on the court, ensuring they get the playing time needed to improve and become the best they can be.

Did both of you contribute to its start-up? How easy or difficult was that process? We dove in as true partners, two driven women balancing each other’s strengths. The learning curve was steep, but our teamwork made it manageable. We divided tasks but stayed united in vision. It’s a testament to what women can achieve when they collaborate and support each other!

What has been one of the most rewarding aspects of your roles? Seeing our girls grow in confidence and support each other. They’re developing skills and character that’ll serve them well beyond the court. Their success reminds us why we started this whole adventure.

What do each of you do for your day jobs? Kim’s an Adjunct Professor with an MS in Astrophysics, while Elizabeth directs Worldwide Sales for Hilton. We’re juggling different worlds, but it all comes together with our united efforts.

What do you both enjoy doing in your spare time? Any hobbies? Spare time” is a rare commodity! But Kim manages to sneak in a run every day and enjoys her time at the beach. Elizabeth is a fan of Pilates and hitting the pickleball courts, and she has a special fondness for Bar Harbor, ME. We both believe in carving out moments for ourselves—it keeps us energized and ready for everything else life throws our way.

What was the biggest highlight of your summer for each of you? For Kim, it was an unforgettable experience attending a Taylor Swift concert in Germany with her girls—truly a memory maker! Elizabeth celebrated a major milestone as her daughter started at Syracuse University. These cherished moments with our daughters are experiences we’ll treasure for a lifetime.

What are you both doing now to prepare for the new club season? We’re in full swing! Registering for tournaments, redesigning uniforms, and planning a team philanthropy project. It’s not just about volleyball; we’re building a community that cares about more than just wins on the court.
