We round out 2024 by highlighting Keystone Region athlete Kylie Copeland, an outside hitter who plays for Crosscourt Volleyball Club. Kylie is homeschooled and when not playing club volleyball, can be found on the court playing for Springhouse Middle School.

What have you learned about yourself through volleyball? I’m much stronger and tougher than I thought I would ever be.

Who is your most influential role model and why? It’s hard to just pick one, but my first coaches got me started and since then they have always supported me, as well as my parents always being there for me and backing me up no matter what I do.

Do you have a favorite tournament experience?  In my first tournament playing volleyball, my team won the 12U KRVA Kick Starter tournament.  

What would most people be surprised to learn about you? I love to read and sometimes I finish more than one book in a day!

What are three activities you enjoy outside of volleyball? Reading, Hanging out with my family and friends, and youth group at church.

Favorite pre-game meal: My dad makes really good egg sandwiches for early morning car rides to tournaments.

The furthest you’ve traveled to play volleyball? Richmond, VA

What is the biggest lesson you learned from volleyball? To always have composure and keep going because having resilience will help you in all areas of life.

Night owl or morning person? Night Owl.

Least favorite school subject:  History.

Most interesting thing you did this summer? I was in my aunt and uncle’s wedding with my family.
